What is jing?

Jing is about how the body is moved and what you do with that movement.
 
Intelligent body use
Use biomechanics effectively when in physical relationship with another person.
 
Reeling silk

Reeling silk is a means of utilising the connective tissues of the body, along with soft muscles, spine and waist - in order to generate power.
 
Connection

With regular practice, the tendons, ligaments, fascia and muscles become united.
 
Whole-body power

It is necessary to generate and deliver a great amount of force, rapidly and effectively.

 
Proof

Reeling silk, connection and whole-body power need to be pressure-tested.
 
Functional combat

Power generation and realistic fighting application are major areas of development in kung fu.
